About Me
Name:
David Iskander
Photographer.
About: Nowadays, an overachiever is underrated. They call him an underdog, but David usually have three common characteristics (kinda like the same one they call David who went up against Goliath): Passionate, Hardworking, and Determined. Raised in Long Beach, CA, David was brought up in an unlikely manner. His parents came from Egypt, a lifestyle different in nature to his surroundings. His uncommon attributes have become his common world.
Working hard to decide a path and challenged to follow societies laid out plan for a common lifestyle of hardship, David wanted to create a totally new runway. Currently, an International Business student at California State University of Long Beach and a full time advocate of ‘follow your dreams’ David is more than content in life.
David’s zeal comes from his past and love for helping people understand what is sometimes missed or easily misunderstood. Even more his photography isn’t meant for economic stability but to illustrate to people what is sometimes invisible or overseen to the eye.
“Looking at the future through art will cause the present day acceptance of difference”
Consequently, lifestyle photographer, which is a very vague style, is Davids favorable style. It may also be known as candid photography. This is because photographers that capture the natural state and don’t alter situations create scenes that are pure yet seem unreal or misrepresented, or even underrated. I guess you could say David loves shooting himself!
